Building strength
Combine strength machines and free weights, training each major muscle group a couple of times a week.
Three zones, one floor: strength machines and cables, a free-weight area, and a cardio line-up. Here is what each one offers.

01The floor
Walk onto the training floor and the structure is clear: machines and cable stations along the walls, barbells and dumbbells on a rubber-floored area, and a cardio line beside the windows.
This page only describes what the gym’s photographs show. Services that rely on staff — such as personal training, group sessions or programme design — are listed separately further down as items to confirm with the team.

Selectorised machines and cable stations guide the movement, which makes them a friendly way to learn how each muscle group should feel when it is working. Plate-loaded stations add heavier options as you progress.

The free-weight area is set on black rubber flooring, with a rack of fixed barbells (straight and curl bars), dumbbells along the mirrored wall and benches nearby. It is the classic setting for compound lifts and accessory work.

A row of treadmills sits beside a stair climber and exercise bikes, under a ceiling of pin-point lights and beside brick-effect walls and windows. Use it for warm-ups, steady endurance work or conditioning.

Pair cardio sessions with a short machine circuit so stamina and strength grow together.
Pick fixed days and times, keep sessions simple, and let the habit settle before adding more.
Short, regular sessions on the cardio line and a few resistance exercises can fit around a busy week.
Ask for a walk-through, learn a couple of machines at a time and keep a note of what you did.

Many beginners begin with a short cardio warm-up and a few machine exercises at light weights. Ask for a walk-through, and consult a doctor first if you have any health concerns.
Two or three sessions a week is a common starting point. The right amount depends on your goals, schedule and recovery, so choose a pattern you can keep up.
